<image:title>Interpreting Fairy Tales: Symbols, Language & Archetypal Patterns - What will we cover?</image:title>
<image:caption>In the first introductory seminar we will review Jung’s concepts of the collective unconscious and levels of the psyche. We will discuss why Jungians value and study fairy tales as a pathway to working with dreams. Inspired and informed by the work of Marie Louise von Franz, Jung’s early assistant and life-long collaborator, we will work with one story per session to practice the careful translation of symbolic language in order to understand how it can be applied to everyday life. The four additional sessions will focus on survival, finding strength, and good fortune in unexpected places. Volunteers will read the story aloud, followed by discussions attending to the symbols, patterns, and developments of the narrative. After registration, the forthcoming meeting’s tale will be sent electronically to participants 2-4 days in advance. Participants will have the opportunity to read aloud at the beginning of each session. There will be time for discussion throughout our sessions. At the time of registration, participants may indicate their willingness to be a reader.</image:caption>

<image:caption>We are profoundly honored to announce a private evening in Madrid with Professor Francisco López-Muñoz of the University of Camilo José Cela. As one of the world's leading scholars on the intersection of medicine and literature, and co-author of the pivotal paper Cervantes Read by Freud: A Perspective, Professor López-Muñoz will lead an exclusive lecture and discussion. This session explores the fascinating historical reality that Sigmund Freud taught himself Spanish specifically to read Don Quixote in its original tongue. We will examine how this 17th-century masterpiece served as a "proto-psychoanalytic" text, influencing Freud's earliest conceptualizations of the human ego, delusion, and the power of the narrative.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Your Zimbabwe journey begins the moment you land at Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport, where your travel guide & private driver will greet you and escort you into the African wilderness. As you arrive at your private Lodge, your hosts welcome you with a signature drink and escort you to your private wilderness chalet. The afternoon unfolds with a briefing on the daily schedule, before enjoying lunch. After lunch we will be shown to and settle into our Wilderness Chalets. We will have time to freshen up or take a swim, before departing on our first afternoon wilderness activity of a Bush drive in Zimbawe or you can choose to stay at our lodge sipping a beverage while being on your own “arm chair” Safari, watching animals on our reserve! Sunset will be an event you will never forget out on Safari in an open air jeep. As the sun goes down, we are served “sundowners” a wine or beverage of your choice and snacks like happy hour out in the bush with wildlife as the backdrop! Then back to the lodge for an al frecso 3 course dinner and drinks and conversation by the fire pit!</image:caption>
